About this event
ISTA is an officially accredited IB professional development provider with over 20 years of collaboration with the IB. Our MYP Arts workshops are trusted by international schools worldwide and go beyond standard teacher training. Through live, practice-led online learning, participants explore curriculum frameworks, assessment, and teaching approaches in ways that are clear, practical, and immediately applicable. Educators leave with adaptable classroom strategies and greater confidence in delivering MYP Arts courses. Our workshops are open to all educators — no ISTA membership required.
This virtual workshop brings that same high-quality professional learning directly to you, wherever you are. This event features the following workshop category:
- Category 2 – Deepens and extends your MYP Arts practice, building on existing experience in the classroom. Refine your curriculum and assessment design, strengthen collaborative approaches to planning, and explore how to bring greater rigour, innovation, and accessibility to student-centred learning environments. Recommended for MYP Arts educators and leaders who have already designed, taught, and assessed at least one MYP unit.

- Online professional learning accessible from anywhere in the world
- Hands-on, practice-based exploration of the MYP Arts framework and assessment criteria

Your ISTA experience
Workshop focus
Category 2
This workshop is designed for all MYP Arts educators, including visual arts, music, theatre, dance, film, and media, who have existing IB experience and are ready to deepen their practice and push their teaching further.
Building on a working knowledge of the MYP Arts framework, participants explore more nuanced approaches to curriculum design, assessment, and pedagogy. Through collaborative inquiry and peer exchange, you will interrogate your current practice, refine unit planning, strengthen assessment judgement, and develop strategies that bring greater rigour, creativity, and accessibility to your students’ learning.
You will leave with renewed confidence, fresh perspectives, and practical approaches ready to implement, along with a stronger sense of where your teaching can go next.
About the workshop leader
ISTA works with IB-approved workshop leaders who bring deep expertise in both arts education and the MYP Arts framework. All of our workshop leaders are experienced MYP Arts educators with active backgrounds in teaching, curriculum design, and artistic practice across a range of disciplines.
They are skilled facilitators who understand the realities of teaching IB MYP Arts courses in schools, and are committed to making professional learning practical, relevant, and genuinely inspiring.
