Why learning with ISTA online?

ISTA’s Professional Development & Learning (PD&L) experiences are crafted for arts educators and school leaders seeking practical, creative, and forward-thinking training.

Our virtual sessions offer high-impact learning in a concise format—combining reflection, collaboration, and skills development, all without leaving your workspace.

Whether you’re an arts teacher looking for fresh strategies, a practising artist refining your craft, or a school leader exploring innovative approaches to arts education, ISTA’s sessions are designed to support and inspire.

All participants receive an official ISTA Certificate of Attendance. Sessions are led by internationally recognised arts education professionals and aligned with global best practices.

Atri Bannerjee trained at Birkbeck and on the National Theatre Directors’ Course. He received a 2022-24 Peter Hall Bursary at the National Theatre and was named as one of The Stage 25 in 2022: “theatre-makers to watch out for in 2022 and beyond.”

His directing credits include: Look Back in Anger (Almeida); Julius Caesar (RSC); The Glass Menagerie (Royal Exchange/ UK tour); SHED: EXPLODED VIEW, Hobson’s Choice (both Royal Exchange); Britannicus (Lyric Hammersmith); Kes (Octagon Theatre Bolton/ Theatre by the Lake); HARM (Bush).

In 2019, Atri won The Stage Debut Award for his production of Hobson’s Choice at the Royal Exchange Theatre. In 2021, he filmed Harm for BBC Four.

Atri is Artistic Lead at the Gate Theatre and was previously Trainee Director at the Royal Exchange and a Resident Director at the Almeida. He is a trustee of the Regional Theatre Young Directors’ Scheme.

To complete your booking, you’ll be asked to:

• Provide key participant and school details, including your name, contact information, and ISTA membership status.
• Confirm your agreement to ISTA’s Terms & Conditions.
  

Once your registration is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.

This workshop will be hosted on Zoom. You’ll receive the log-in details at least 24 hours prior to the event.

Once booked and invoiced the registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable as per event terms and conditions.

• Please ensure you have a reliable internet connection and access to a quiet, distraction-free space for the duration of the session.
• A notebook and pen are recommended for taking notes and reflecting on key ideas.
