Athens TAPS Ignite

About this event

TAPS Ignite is a three-day, in-person theatre-making immersion inspired by the framework of the IB DP Theatre Programme. Created for students considering or beginning the course, it builds creative confidence and introduces the core elements of IB Theatre through practical, ensemble-based exploration.

Working alongside peers from different schools, students are introduced to play texts, world theatre traditions, collaborative creation, and performance analysis in active, hands-on ways. Guided by experienced theatre practitioners and IB Theatre specialists, they discover how ideas from the course come alive in rehearsal and performance.

The experience concludes with a final sharing of original performance work. Students leave with greater confidence, practical theatre-making experience, and clearer insight into the expectations of IB DP Theatre.
