Sydney IB Workshop - DP Dance

About this event

Join ISTA for an immersive three-day IB DP Dance workshop that will strengthen your understanding of dance practice, pedagogy, and assessment. Led by experienced IB Dance educators, this hands-on learning experience goes beyond theory to explore how the course can be delivered creatively and confidently across a diverse range of teaching contexts.

Across three days, participants will engage in practical activities, discussions, and collaborative inquiry designed to:

  • Explore the IB DP Dance guide and assessment components.
  • Connect creative practice with curriculum design and delivery.
  • Develop strategies for student choreography, performance, and reflective investigation.
  • Build a supportive network of fellow IB Dance practitioners.

This event features the following specific workshop categories:

  • Category 1 & 2 (Combined) – For mixed groups of new and experienced teachers exploring both foundational and advanced aspects of IB Dance.
  • Please Note: Although this is a combined learning experience, participants register for either Category 1 or Category 2 depending on their level of experience. Each participant receives an IB certificate for the category in which they are registered, not for both.
