New York IB Workshop - DP Theatre (Collaboratively Creating Original Theatre)

About this event

Join us for an immersive three-day IB DP Theatre workshop designed to deepen your understanding of theatre practice, pedagogy, and IB assessment. Led by expert theatre educators, this workshop provides hands-on exploration of key elements such as staging play texts, world theatre traditions, ensemble collaboration, and theatre theory.

This event features the following specific workshop categories:

  • Category 1 – For teachers new to IB DP Theatre who want to build a strong foundation in IB philosophy, assessment, and curriculum design.

  • Category 2 – For experienced IB Theatre teachers seeking to deepen their practice, refine assessment strategies, and share innovative approaches.
  • Category 3: Collaboratively Creating Original Theatre – Explores ensemble processes, devising methodologies, and student-led creation.

This workshop takes place alongside our New York TAPS (Theatre and Performance Symposium), a vibrant event for DP Theatre students. It's the perfect opportunity to bring your students with you—while they explore and perform, you'll be connecting, learning, and recharging your teaching practice.
