Mark Your Calendar: ISTA Event Launch & Booking Dates
The time has come to start planning for the next ISTA season. Whether you’re mapping student experiences, scheduling your professional development, or coordinating IB training, early visibility makes decision-making easier.
Below you’ll find the launch and booking dates for ISTA student events, festivals, and educator workshops so you can align your calendars, budgets, and approvals in good time.
Events For Students

IB Student Events
IB student events bring the syllabus to life for DP Theatre and Film students, and those considering taking these programmes. These give students the confidence, clarity in IB courses and terminology, and collaborative experience to apply their learning in authentic, artist-led contexts.

🎬 FRAME
For students considering IB DP Film or in the early stages of the Diploma Programme.
Across three immersive days, students step into real filmmaking roles, developing creative confidence while exploring collaborative film production from idea to screen.

Festivals
At ISTA festivals, students collaborate in artist-led ensembles to devise original work inspired by a shared global theme. Focused on process rather than competition, festivals create space for creativity, connection, and bold artistic exploration.
Designed for primary, middle, and high school students, formats vary, but every festival centres on ensemble, shared inquiry, and meaningful creative risk.
Festivals can fill quickly, so having visibility of these dates early can support conversations with leadership teams while there is still time for approvals. Identifying several dates that work with the school calendar can also help ensure schools are ready when booking opens.
Events For Educators

Professional Development & Learning (PD&L)
Sharpen your practice. Stretch your thinking. Stay creatively alive.
ISTA workshops, available both face-to-face and online, support arts educators across curricula to grow, reflect, and lead with confidence.
With a few events still open this season and the next launch on the horizon, now is the time to plan your professional learning journey.

IB Workshops
Designed for MYP Arts, IB DP Theatre, IB DP Film, and IB DP Dance educators, ISTA’s IB-accredited workshops strengthen creative practice and clarify assessment expectations. Grounded in real artistic experience and IB-aligned pedagogy, they support confident and creative classroom delivery.
