Reimagining Film Education
Since 2017, ISTA has delivered accredited IB DP Film workshops on behalf of the IB, supporting educators worldwide. Our range of events, products, and services for film teachers and learners now includes the full suite of authorised IB workshops, alongside new ISTA-led programmes. With a global network of professionals, we’re proud to help shape the future of film education.

Through a first-of-its-kind collaboration with the IB, ISTA published the first-ever IB DP Film Student Handbook in 2025. This essential resource supports students in navigating the course with clarity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of IB film studies.

A Creative Laboratory for Young Filmmakers
ISTA FRAME is a dynamic three-day experience for pre-IB and IB DP Film students to explore filmmaking through practice, collaboration, and creativity. Centred around a shared one-page script, students engage in hands-on workshops that mirror key IB DP syllabus areas. FRAME gives young filmmakers the tools to develop ideas, experiment with techniques, and create meaningful short films in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
