The ISTA Arts Academy Hong Kong is a creative hub where young people explore drama, music, and movement in a vibrant, inclusive environment. Led by professional artists and guided by the ISTA Ensemble Method, it empowers students aged 8–18 to develop confidence, creativity, and collaboration through original artistic work.
The ISTA Arts Academy Hong Kong is proudly hosted by the Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS), whose deep commitment to the arts and global learning makes this partnership uniquely impactful. As a creative hub for Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, the Academy is open to all and champions access, inclusion, and collaboration across communities and cultures.
The Academy Model
Offering year-round performing arts experiences grounded in ISTA’s mission, the Academy runs a flexible programme of weekly sessions, weekend intensives, and summer workshops. Its clear structure ensures high-quality learning, sustained engagement, and impactful creative outcomes.
Delivers sustained, high-quality arts education through regular, structured programmes
Culminates in original performances or public sharings that showcase student voice and collaboration
Promotes global cultural exchange and creative learning grounded in ISTA’s international ethos
Operates under a two-year agreement with ISTA, ensuring consistency, support, and shared standards
Founded by visionary educator and Honorary ISTA Member Anne Douet, the Academy is a vibrant model of artistic excellence and global connection, where the arts spark dialogue, raise awareness, and strengthen community. Grounded in the belief that young people flourish in dynamic, creative environments, its programmes nurture collaboration, shared purpose, and individual artistic expression.
At CDNIS, we believe the arts are essential to a well-rounded, internationally minded education.Our partnership with ISTA reflects our commitment to nurturing creativity, collaboration, and global citizenship in young people. Hosting the Academy in our Leo Lee Arts Centre allows us to share our world-class facilities in service of artistic exploration—not just for our own students, but for youth across Hong Kong and the wider region. We are proud to support a programme that empowers young artists to find their voices and connect meaningfully with the world around them.
